Reading: Dancing with Fear

The first book I finished in English this year is 'Dancing with Fear:Controlling Stress and Creating a Life Beyong Panic and Anxiety'.


The title is long. In short, it's all about anxiety. Where it comes from, how it develops, the symptoms, how to deal with it and how a life without anxiety is.


There are some interesting points:
1. Your body would reflect your anxiety. The musles would be tense if you are in stress and anxious. So sports or dancing or anything that could relax the body would help a little bit with anxiety.
2. Deep breathing, yoga, careful diet, learning to be positive, strenth training, having faith, all could help with anxiety. Medication should be the last resort.
3. There might be times when we feel nervous or so in daily life after we overcome anxiety. It could be ok and even positive. Cause chanllenge and change to the right path might cause temporary anxious feelings at the beginning.

 

Personally I think travelling and gardening help too.
